Six months ago, I was unable to sit down on any surface, had discomfort with walking, lying down and turning over in bed. Initially, I thought I had a trapped nerve in my right buttock, so I would have my husband massage me. The pain and difficulties with sitting, etc., continued on a scale of 1-10, at a very high 10. I discussed this with a work colleague, and she suggested I try visiting Dr Keith around the corner. Initially, I was extremely dubious of how cracking the bones in my back was going to fix a trapped nerve in my right buttock.

Angie,
I am 63 years old and find that wellness chiropractic adjustments have strengthened my immune system and general health.
I recommend regular adjustments with Dr Keith Hammond to keep well, active and pain-free. I would not like to be without these regular adjustments.
All my family: husband, children and grandchildren, have benefited greatly through having regular chiropractic care with Keith.

At Hammond Family Chiropractic, the 'family' doesn't just mean you, the partner and the kids, but your furry babies as well!
When we talk about nerve system function and how that can affect your body's ability to heal and regulate itself, we know that the same philosophy applies to your pets. When they stress themselves out -- either via physical exersion, a nervous attitude or a chemical exposure -- they can become subluxated just like we can. When this happens, we see the same effects: a physical ailment that affects their ability to walk run or play, or, as you will see below, a nerve interference causing a nervous chewing of the tail. These are just a couple of examples.
Please read the testimonials below and see what our patients are saying about our furry patients.
First off is our office dog Trumpet. Trumpet has been adjusted since he was a small pup. The reason I started adjusting Trumpet was the same reason I regularly check my whole family. To keep them hale and hearty and running at their best. Fortunately with animals they aren't exposed to the same levels of stresses that we humans are so they don't need ajusting too often.
It was with Trumpet that I learned that one sign of a subluxation in a dog is when you scratch their backs and they get that shuddering wiggle. It almost looks like a really tickly spot but I found that when I checked the area the shuudering would stop. This meant that it was a neurological response to the subluxation there rather than just an excessively ticklish dog :) We also keep a close eye on our two cats to ensure that they remain healthy too!
(Zavi, a Bouvier, is the older black dog. Dartanian is the silver Schnauser.)
"Zavi was having terrible problems with his back. The vet said it was an osteo problem that would get worse and we were not to let him run for any length of time or to let him jump. Zavi was always a very active dog and became miserable not to be able to run and jump. When his back “went out” he would whimper and stand still, unable to move with pain. One day he was in so much pain I decide to try taking him to my Chiropractor, Dr Keith, who had worked miracles on my spine. I rang Keith up and asked if I could bring my dog in to see him for an adjustment. Keith being a dog lover and having his own dog, Trumpet, immediately said yes “bring him on down.” I took Zavi in. Dr Keith examined him and found his spine was out of alignment in a few places and adjusted him effortlessly. The relief to Zavi was immediate. The change to Zavi was miraculous. He could move again. He is able to run and jump and lead a normal life again, as long as he doesn’t over do it. I have so much to thank Keith for. I take Zavi back for adjustments now and then if he starts stiffening up again, but this is rare.
Then there is Dartanian. Dartanian was limping one day and crying with pain. He was holding his back leg was up like a wounded sparrow. We took him to Keith. Keith adjusted his spine and again an immediate improvement was experienced by my dog. Dartanian can now run freely without pain. It really is a miracle what Keith can do for animals, so much so my partner encouraged Keith to go into business as a dog chiro… I encourage all other dog lovers to go see Keith. Oh, I forgot to mention my friend, Leanne, who has taken her cat to see Keith and she, too, was amazed at the results of having her cat’s spine adjusted.
We recently took Zavi back to the chiropractor, as he was biting his tail. We had just given him a flea treatment, so we knew it wasn’t fleas. Keith took one look at him and said that Zavi's lower back was out of alignment. He adjusted him and would you believe it, Zavi has stopped biting his tail…
Thank you, Keith, so much ... we love you… you have helped us so much and brought so much happiness to our extended family of furry friends."
